MARBLE STATUES
We are committed to harmoniously combining traditional and modern techniques of the marble process, so as to guarantee excellent results both from an aesthetic point of view and from a technical point of view. The most widely used instrument since the nineteenth century for the processing of marble is the so-called “stitch machine” which allows the creation of pieces that are perfectly faithful to the original. The instrument is placed on the original model so that the ends of the metal arms touch three points of the work. These are then returned to the marble block so as to fix the so-called “stitch heads” that will act as a guide for the other stitches, fixed in the plaster model through special nails. With this technique we obtain the rough-hewn
shape of the work that will then be finished and polished by the artist. All our sculptures are hand-carved and made from the finest Carrara marble through this ancient technique.
