PLASTER STATUES

Plaster is perhaps one of the most common materials used by the sculptor. This is because the plaster is available in nature, is versatile, is easily workable and is used to “save” the work previously made in clay. The latter represents the genesis of a sculpture as is the main creation phase since it contains the primary idea of the artist who models the material and which, thanks to its flexibility allows the sculptor to continuously make changes and modifications. We then proceed with the creation of the clay model using a supporting skeleton composed of an iron rod as high as the work needs to be performed. At the end of the work, we proceed with the so-called molding, which consists in creating a mold in order to obtain one or more copies faithful to the original model. All our works of art are made in the family studio, according to these traditional techniques. Any change in colour or detail is the result of craftsmanship, which makes each piece unique.
