WRESTLERS

The sculpture is a small-scale reproduction of The Wrestlers, a Roman marble work from a Greek original. Once in the Medici collections as one of the most valuable pieces, inspiring the formation of generations of artists; nowadays exhibited at the Uffizi Tribune in Florence. The plaster model is a classic of the sculpture here re- proposed in the form of a fragment. The original cast is clearly visible on purpose, because stressing the creative process and the properties of plaster.
